When I first learned of the holloware I was a bit skeptical about the concept.
I wanted to eat it with my bare hands.
So, when I saw how easy it was to make the hollowared meal, I was thrilled.
I could even serve it with rice.
But, when the cook, the owner of the Holloware restaurant in the columbian town of Castaic, Calif., started talking about the hollowares, I couldn’t resist.
I decided to go ahead and make a batch of it and share it with you.
Here are the steps I followed:1.
Make the hollowed-out holloware2.
Cut up the meat and vegetables1.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.2.
Put the hollows in the oven, close the lid, and bake for 10 minutes.3.
While the hollowings bake, chop up the onions, carrots, and celery.4.
Place the hollow-ed meat, carrots and onions in a baking dish and top with the meat.5.
Once the hollowers are done, put the lid back on and cook the other side for another 15 minutes.6.
After 15 minutes, the hollow cooked the other way.7.
Serve with rice or couscous.
